5K

Got a 5K coming up. Haven't ran one of those since High School (XC 4 LIFE!!!)
I'm doing it for the six cents initiative where for every six cents earned it buys a hydration packet for someone in a third world country.
My husbands service club is putting it on this coming saturday and oh man am I nervous....
Hopefully i can make it to the end without dying.

Customs

Today on my way to work, i saw two indian ladies walking together. Usually, i wouldn't think anything of it or take notice but they were wearing traditional indian clothing and it caught my attention. It really made me smile to think that even though they live in america, they are still caring on their traditions. That's really all america is anyway. Just a whole lot of people with different customs and traditions all mixed in together to form a free country.

small acts of service

Today i saw a woman holding open a door for another woman who was in a wheelchair. At first I just thought that perhaps they were together. However, after the woman had entered, the other lady began walking to the parking lot. It made me realize that perhaps we don't see enough of these small acts of service. It really made me happy to know that there are still random caring people in this world.

Superstitions

While walking home from art class, listening to vanilla twilight by owl city, a black cat suddenly crossed my path. Is this really bad luck? I thought to myself as a clump of snow fell on my head from a near by tree. Then my mind wandered back to the cat. I wonder how that cat feels about being "bad luck". I actually starting feeling bad for the cat. I don't think something as beautiful as a midnight black cat pouncing through angel white snow could be anything but beautiful. Perhaps we make our own luck.

burnt rolls

Who ever thought it would be so hard to cook frozen rolls?

I came home from work tonight and spencer was still at school so i decided that i would cook dinner for us. (he usually does it because i'm gone to work) So i cooked pasta and rice and then we decided to have rolls. I have tried to cook this type of rolls 3 different times and for some reason they always seem to burn.... yah i don't get it. Thankfully Spence made me laugh cause he took those dang hard crunchy rolls and he juggled them. HAHA he was surprisingly good at it to.

I am so thankful for a wonderful husband who can always make me laugh.

Toothpaste

You know all those funny stories you've heard about how people get in arguments about the toothpaste when they are married? Of course you do, you hear them all the time and you think to yourself that's never gonna happen to me over something as silly as toothpaste. Your wrong. It really does happen and it will happen to you! My husband and I don't get into arguments necessarily. It's more him and I joking around. For example, my husband pushes the toothpaste out from the bottom. Me, on the other hand, squeeze right at the point with the most toothpaste (which is usually the middle). The other day he says to me while holding up the toothpaste, what were you trying to do? kill the toothpaste? I can see the point in squeezing from the bottom but to tell you the truth, it's so difficult to get enough toothpaste out and it's so slow. I guess we'll just have to get use to the silly little things such as the toothpaste. It's a good thing we love each other enough to not let the little things bother us. :D
